Microneedling in London

Advanced regenerative microneedling enhanced with targeted transdermal solutions to improve discolouration, pores, texture, scarring, dullness, signs of ageing and overall skin integrity.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a regenerative skin treatment that uses a medical-grade device to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. This controlled stimulation triggers the skin’s natural repair processes, encouraging the production of collagen and elastin while improving overall skin structure, texture and resilience.

At Ace Skin Health Clinic, microneedling is never performed on its own. Every treatment includes transdermal infusion, where carefully selected active ingredients are delivered into the skin at the moment absorption is optimised. This allows us to address the root causes of concerns such as pigmentation, enlarged pores, uneven texture, acne scarring, surgical scars, dehydration, dullness and ageing with far greater precision than needling alone.

Microneedling Options at Ace Skin Health Clinic

How Microneedling Works

Microneedling creates precise micro-injuries within the skin, stimulating fibroblast activity and the formation of new collagen. Over time, this strengthens the skin’s structure, refines pores and smooths irregular texture.

The micro-channels formed during treatment also allow active solutions to penetrate deeper into the skin, where they support regeneration, regulate pigmentation, improve hydration, and reinforce the skin barrier. Treatment depth and technique are adjusted according to skin thickness, the type and depth of scarring, and the treatment area.

Downtime is minimal for superficial treatments and slightly longer for deeper protocols used for scarring or significant texture irregularities. A course of treatments is recommended for progressive, long-lasting improvement.

Our Personalised Approach

Microneedling treatments at Ace Skin Health Clinic are planned around your skin’s structure, healing capacity and long-term goals. We often combine microneedling with other advanced treatments as part of a wider plan to achieve the best possible results. Our focus is progressive skin regeneration, not short-term stimulation.

FAQs

At Ace Skin Health Clinic, we believe informed clients achieve the best results. These FAQs cover the most common questions about our approach, safety standards, and treatment process, so you can book with confidence and clarity.

Still have questions?

Get in touch with our team and we will answer all of your questions before you book a session.

Is microneedling safe for darker skin tones?

Yes, when performed correctly and with the right plan. Your consultation allows us to assess risk factors and tailor the approach to your skin.

What solution will you use on my skin?

Your solution is selected after your skin assessment. We choose actives based on your specific concern, such as pigmentation support, hydration, texture refinement or regenerative repair.

Can microneedling help pigmentation?

Microneedling can support uneven tone and post-inflammatory pigmentation when combined with the right solutions, barrier support and SPF.

Can microneedling help acne scars?

Yes. Microneedling encourages collagen remodelling and gradual smoothing of scar tissue. Deeper scars may require a combination approach.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on several factors, including age, the area being treated, skin condition, and the extent of damage. In most cases, a course of either three to six treatments is recommended, generally spaced between four and eight weeks apart.

Does microneedling hurt?

Microneedling is generally well tolerated. A topical numbing cream can be applied before treatment to minimise discomfort, and most clients describe the sensation as pressure or mild scratching rather than pain. Deeper treatments, such as those for scarring or the scalp, may feel more intense, but they remain manageable and are closely monitored throughout. Your comfort and safety are always prioritised.

What is the downtime after microneedling?

Downtime varies depending on the depth of treatment and the area treated. Most clients experience redness and mild sensitivity for 24–72 hours, similar to a sunburn. Light flaking or dryness may occur as the skin renews itself. Deeper treatments, such as those performed for scarring, may involve a slightly longer recovery period. You will be given tailored aftercare to support healing, protect the skin barrier, and optimise results.

Who is not a suitable candidate for microneedling?

Microneedling is safe for most skin types; however, it is not suitable for everyone. Certain medical conditions, active skin infections, impaired wound healing, or the use of specific medications may make microneedling inappropriate or require treatment to be postponed. During your consultation, a full medical and skin assessment is conducted to ensure microneedling is safe and suitable for you before any treatment is performed.
