Vascular Laser Treatment in London
Effective laser treatment for thread veins, rosacea, and broken capillaries
What is Vascular Laser Treatment?
Vascular laser treatment is a clinically proven, non-invasive procedure that targets visible blood vessels using precise light energy. Whether you are dealing with rosacea-related redness, leg veins, cherry angiomas, or spider veins, our medical-grade laser technology provides a clear, even complexion without damaging the surrounding skin.

How It Works: Medical-Grade Precision with the Lynton Motus AY
At Ace Skin Health Clinic, we don’t settle for “standard” beauty lasers. We utilize the Lynton Motus AY (by DEKA); the gold standard in vascular and skin technology. This medical-grade Nd:YAG laser is the same technology trusted by the NHS, offering a level of precision and safety that sets our Islington clinic apart.

Vascular Laser Treatment Options at Ace Skin Health Clinic
The Science of Selective Thermolysis
The Nd:YAG 1064nm wavelength is specifically designed to bypass the surface of your skin and target the deeper structures of the blood vessel.
Natural Clearing: Once the vessel is sealed, it no longer carries blood. Over the next 2 to 6 weeks, your body’s lymphatic system naturally breaks down and clears the dormant vessel, leaving behind a clearer, more even skin tone.
Targeting: The laser emits a concentrated beam of light that is absorbed by haemoglobin (the red pigment in your blood).
Thermal Action: This light energy converts to heat, causing the unwanted vessel walls to “stick” together and collapse.
What Makes the Motus AY Different?
Most traditional vascular lasers can be uncomfortable or limited by skin type. Our Lynton Motus AY changes the game:
Red & Blue Vessel Capability: While many lasers only “see” red, the Motus AY is powerful enough to target deeper blue reticular veins on the legs as well as fine red facial capillaries.
Safety for All Skin Tones: Because the 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength is less absorbed by melanin, we can safely and effectively treat all skin types (Fitzpatrick I–VI). This means we can treat vascular lesions on darker skin tones with a much lower risk of pigment changes.

Our Personalised Approach
Why Choose Ace Skin Health Clinic for Vascular Removal?
We don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach. Our Islington laser specialists provide a bespoke treatment plan for every patient.
- Safety First: We use industry-leading technology to ensure maximum results with minimum risk of pigmentation or scarring.
- Expert Assessment: We analyze your skin type, vessel depth, and history.
- Combined Therapies: For best results, we may combine laser with LED Light Therapy or barrier-repair skincare to soothe the skin.
What to Expect: Your Treatment Journey
1. Consultation & Patch Test Safety is our priority. We perform a thorough skin analysis and a patch test to ensure the laser settings are perfectly calibrated for your skin tone.
2. During the Procedure The sensation is often described as a “quick warm snap.” Most sessions are fast and highly tolerable without numbing cream.
3. Results & Recovery
- Downtime: Immediately after treatment, the area may appear slightly red or mildly swollen. In some cases, vessels may temporarily darken before fading.
- Some vessels disappear immediately, while others gradually fade over 2–6 weeks.
- The number of sessions required depends on the extent of the vascular concern and your skin’s healing response.
- Downtime is minimal. Mild redness or swelling may occur but usually settles within hours to a few days. Sun protection is essential following treatment to protect the skin and reduce pigmentation risk.

FAQs
At Ace Skin Health Clinic, we believe informed clients achieve the best results. These FAQs cover the most common questions about our approach, safety standards, and treatment process, so you can book with confidence and clarity.
Still have questions?
Get in touch with our team and we will answer all of your questions before you book a session.
Does vascular laser treatment hurt?
Most clients feel a brief warming sensation. It is much more comfortable than older generations of laser technology.
Is it safe for Rosacea?
Yes! It is one of the most effective ways to manage the visible symptoms of rosacea. We often pair this with calming treatments to manage underlying inflammation.
Will the veins come back?
Once a vessel is collapsed and reabsorbed, it is gone for good. However, if you are prone to redness (due to genetics or sun exposure), new vessels may form in the future. We recommend high-SPF sun protection to maintain your results.
How many sessions will I need?
Some vessels clear in one session, while others may require 3+ treatments depending on their size and depth.
