Benign Skin Growth & Lesion Removal in London

Remove skin tags, milia, seborrhoeic keratoses, DPN, warts and other benign lesions safely with advanced treatments

Removal of benign skin growth and lesions is completely safe, and effective treatment is absolutely achievable

Benign skin growths are incredibly common, and most people develop one or two as they move through life. They can show up anywhere, around the neck, under the arms, on the face or across the body – and while they’re harmless, they can still be frustrating. Some catch on jewellery or clothing, others create tiny bumps that affect how the skin looks or feels, and many people simply prefer the appearance of clearer, smoother skin. Skin tags, milia, seborrhoeic keratoses and warts often build slowly over time, while conditions like dermatosis papulosa nigra (DPN) or sebaceous hyperplasia may be more common in certain skin tones and ethnicities.

At ACE Skin Health Clinic, we offer safe, effective and precise removal of a wide range of benign skin growths and lesions using advanced technologies tailored to your skin and the type of growth you have.

About skin growths

Understanding Skin Growths & Benign Lesions

Benign skin growths and lesions form for a variety of reasons – genetics, friction, blocked pores, excess keratin, sun exposure or age-related changes in the skin. They are non-cancerous, but each type has its own characteristics and behaves differently, which is why correct identification is essential before removal.

Skin tags are soft, flesh-coloured growths that often develop where skin folds or rubs. Milia are tiny, pearl-like cysts formed when keratin becomes trapped beneath the surface. Seborrhoeic keratoses look like waxy or slightly raised patches and tend to appear with age or sun exposure. DPN (dermatosis papulosa nigra) presents as small, dark bumps that commonly affect melanin-rich skin, particularly on the cheeks and temples.

Warts and verrucae are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and may appear as rough, raised bumps on the hands, feet or body. Syringomas, sebaceous hyperplasia, epidermal cysts and cherry angiomas each originate from different skin structures, think sweat glands, oil glands, hair follicles or blood vessels.

These lesions vary widely in texture, depth and origin, so an expert assessment ensures the safest and most effective method of removal. At ACE, your practitioner will examine the area carefully and confirm suitability before creating a treatment plan.

How We Treat Skin Growths & Benign Lesions

Our removal methods are chosen based on the type of growth or lesion, its depth, its size and your skin tone. Treatments are precise, minimally invasive and designed to minimise downtime.

Results

Most growths and lesions are removed in a single session, although some may require follow-up appointments depending on the type, size and depth. Once healed, the treated area appears smoother, clearer and free from the raised or visible growth. Aftercare is important to support the skin and ensure the best cosmetic result.

Still have questions?

Get in touch with our team and we will answer all of your questions before you book a session.

Are these growths and lesions dangerous?

No, the growths and lesions we treat are benign, meaning they are not cancerous, and we carry out a full assessment before removal.

Is removal painful?

Most treatments involve only mild discomfort. Numbing options are available if needed.

Will the lesion come back?

Some lesions, like skin tags or milia, can recur over time due to genetics or skin behaviour, but removal of the existing lesion is permanent.

Can you remove growths and lesions on all skin tones?

Yes. We use methods suitable for all skin tones, including Black and brown skin, and take extra care to minimise pigmentation risk.
